Hello! I hope you all had a very merry Christmas! We sure did! I wanted to blog all month, but was so busy enjoying the holidays and getting things done, that I just ran out of time. So, I thought I’d share with you some pictures of some of our family time together.
Of course, I had to begin my little photo journey with these two! This was the first year that Jude really understood Christmas, and oh my goodness… he loved every minute of it! Brent and I had so much fun enjoying him as he was so excited about every little thing. And Luke, who is 9 months now, loved all the sparkly Christmas lights and watching his big brother running around so cheerfully!
One afternoon while I was out shopping, Brent decided to make cookies with the fellas. Here they are with the rolling pin, and apparently Luke got pretty into it as well, as you can see the flour on him!
They made these 4 letters, among other shapes- the C, B, J and L for each of our names. Of course, Jude was did a fabulous job with the sprinkles, and they were pretty tasty, too!
No doubt, plenty of learning about the Christmas story also occurred this Christmas. It was fun watching Brent ask Jude questions with the toy nativity set, and Luke’s Sunday School teachers snapped this adorable picture of him.
Before bedtime, Brent had such a good time reading The Night Before Christmas to the boys.
I snapped this picture right before I went to bed Christmas Eve, just waiting for everyone to wake up in the morning.
In the morning, we all put on our matching pajamas. Because (let’s just be real) I wasn’t finished making them until well after the kids were in bed the night before! This is the fourth year we’ve done this, and I hope it will be a tradition I can always do and one that they will have good memories of.
We were so glad to have my mom be here with us for Christmas. Here she is opening gifts from her stocking. Then of course, presents!
Here is Jude helping Luke open his first Christmas present ever. Sweet moment.
So thankful for this darling baby!
Among all the festivities, we all partook of a bit of egg nog from Brent’s new moose mug. If you are familiar with the movie National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, you will recognize the moose mug! Jude loved the egg nog and the mug. His little joke was to call it Egg Dog!
Christmas night, we went over to Brent’s parent’s house. We ate a delicious meal, the kids played with cousins and more new toys. Here is Brent talking with his dad about the gift he gave him.
Jude was so busy, he didn’t even smile in this one! I think he was ready to play!
I was also so thankful that my brother and sister-in-law came to visit. Here we are checking out Christmas lights by the river in Clarksville. The kids loved this tunnel of lights. It was sooo cold, but worth it!
And here is Luke opening a gift from Uncle Linc and Aunt Kimball.
Our last bit of family time was spent at Brent’s sister’s house in Franklin. We had such a good time catching up with them, and of course Jude chose to not look at the camera at just the right moment!
I hope you all had a merry Christmas and are looking forward to a new year filled with hope and high expectations for what the Lord wants to do in your lives!
